Amidst all the Lunar New Year atmosphere, I couldn’t help but look back at past family pictures. This was 2010. :’(

Honestly, it’s hard to see past grief. I never really saw any of them smile this way or look this fresh since that year. 

You know how they say we don’t treasure what we have enough until it’s gone? While I think that’s true, I really think it would never seem like its enough. 

But it doesn’t mean we stop trying. 

There’s something about tall houses, tall walls, thick over-arching canopies and high ceilings and how they may look great and majestic but at the same time like there’s something to hide or something to prove.

On the contrary, short houses built with nearly no fences sometimes gives a sense of peace, like they have unseen powerful internal knowledge of security.
